This was also quite popular among the hockey team jerseys which are being now replaced with air knit fabrics.
    Polyester Mesh: This was considered to be the perfect alternative before the coming of wicking or double –knit polyester. These fabrics help in facilitating air to the skin thereby ensuring comfort to the individuals. Mesh configurations could be of different varieties such as tricot mesh, mini –mesh or 150 denier mesh. The weigh and hole size configuration also differs with each of these mesh.
    Poly cotton: Poly cotton fabrics are a blend of cotton and polyester. Though these fabrics look exactly like cotton, they last longer and are easier to maintain. Another advantage of this fabric is its wrinkle free nature.
    Air Knitted polyester: This polyester is the popular choice and has replaced all other fabrics for sports jerseys. This fabric is made of polyester with minute holes often as a pattern. These holes help in the fabric to let out the air without compromising on the durability that is required for the teams. Most of the popular brands in the market use this air –knit fabric while manufacturing their signature outfits.
